Project Art Lab SNG is an experiment. An experiment with viewers, an institution, and the possible interaction in space between a model of the Slovak National Gallery and a TV projection. Before the exhibition I had a video recording made, which captured the habitation of laboratory rats in the model. These assumed the imaginary role of researchers in what was for them a new space. At the exhibition I installed a four-channel TV projection consisting of video camera recordings in dynamic mutation, imitating a “security” monitoring system. Two realities meet with a shock: the first broadcasts the continuous flow from the “security camera” and the second is an empty model of the gallery in exposition in real time.
